Wow...what a fun day.

Well, I know I already made a post today, but after that post, something worth posting happened. =) So, my brother and I rode our bikes to Hy-Vee to get hot dog buns, and candy. We had a safe ride there, but on the way back, there was this lady in a van stopped at a street, and she wasn't looking and she hit Brandon. Of course I started freaking out, and was like, "Holy cow" my brother just got hit by a car, but the good thing was, it was only going about 5 miles an hour, and no one was hurt...that is except for the bike. haha...as for that, the tire is completely bent, and the kickstand fell off, but we were still able to get home alive. and before I end this post, I jsut want to say, that the lady driving did make sure he was okay, and was very kind to us. =) What a fun day...

Burritos?

So today at lunch time my brother and I were trying to figure out what to eat, and we decided to go to chipotle to get free burritos. It was alot of unf, my brother was completely wrapped up in foil and he was like waddling around and I out foil on my legs and arms. Oh, and I wrote "I'm a burrito" on a white t-shirt and wore that. It was fun. and then the other day I was at Brian's house, and he tried to dye my hair green, and ended up getting it all over my shirt and on the carpet and everywhere in the house. I don't think his mom was too happy about that, but it was definately worth it. But, if everything goes right, hopefully I will have green hair for tonight, at the Church bonfire. =)

City Union Mission =)

Okay, so...my family and I went to City Union Mission on Saturday to serve food. We were told to get there early to heat up the food and all that. So we still had plenty of time after we had set up all the stuff so I went out to the playground and started playing basketball, and just shooting around. Then a young boy named Desmond, who I later found out was 11 years old, came up to me and asked to shoot around with me so we did. We played a quick game and then I told him I needed to go in and see how much time we had left. So I said bye to him and then he asked if he could get my phone number. So we traded numbers and I was wondering if he was really going to call me sometime. I got a picture of him and then he left. When we came home after serving food I started thinking about Desmond, and realized that maybe God put him in my life for a reason. So I waited and waited for what seemed like forever, but it was only one day and then he called. I talked to him for a while, and then learned some more about him. He is living at the New life Center, which is like an apartment that you can live in for about a year, and you get help finding a job and financing your money and stuff. Then hopefully they can move out and find a new place. He lives with his Mom and 13 year old brother. He is a really nice kid, and I'm not sure if he goes to any sort of Church or chapel, but I'm hoping to find out next time I talk to him. So...that's about it. I just thought I would share that interesting story. =)

Pictures...

Just some random pictures I've been working on...

thinking...

Just today, as I was looking on the calender, I realized that we were taking a trip to City Union Mission on Saturday, to help serve food as a service project. This really got me thinking about how some people don't have nice homes to live in or even food to put on their tables. Then I took a few minutes to pray for those people out there and think about how great my life is. God gave each and everyone of us a purpose in life and that purpose isn't just to take until we are content. We as human beings just take and take, instead of giving and helping others. So I encourage you right now to take a few minutes to pray for those around you who may not have enough to keep them alive. =)
